The backbone of CrossFit Pushin Weight is traditional CrossFit workouts, focusing on strength, conditioning, and mobility. These workouts combine gymnastics, weightlifting, and metabolic conditioning in varying degrees and durations to create unparalleled results. From the basic air squat all the way to the very technical muscle up and Olympic lifts, we utilize them all and make it workable for anyone at any level of fitness. We build strength, endurance, agility, technical ability, and general awareness of body and mind by training movements that support functional ability and translate to real life. And of course, there are the aesthetic benefits, too.
Our Women’s Barbell Club is a bit of social time and a big of lifting time. We start with checking in with each other and drinking some coffee. The group then moves to warm up to get ready for technique work aimed at improving the classic Olympic lifts, the snatch and the clean and jerk.
Our programming at this time, changes from week to week, typically it is light drills and practices lifts. Some times however we do a Max Out Saturday on a lift and see where that takes us. Occasionally we do something completely different like a booty day or a TRX class.
This time is about community and learning. All levels are welcome. Experience how empowering it can be to get familiar with the barbell, and with a group of amazing, powerful, driven women.
